Cookie Policy
1. What this Policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies that may be set when you visit https://vansera.in or any subdomain we operate. It supplements, and is incorporated by reference into, our Privacy Policy and forms part of our Terms of Service.
2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on the device you use to access it. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device on subsequent visits, to remember information you have entered, and to operate features that require state between page loads. "Similar technologies" include local storage, session storage, IndexedDB and HTTP authentication tokens stored in the browser.
3. Categories of cookies we use
We classify the cookies we use under standard categories drawn from the European Commission's e-Privacy guidance and India's IT Rules. Each is described below.
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the website to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking the function they support. They are set only on the basis of your interaction with the relevant feature (for example, by logging in to the administrator portal).
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Properties |
|---|---|---|---|
vansera_admin |
Authenticates an administrator session for Vansera personnel using the /admin portal. The cookie value is an HMAC-SHA256 signed token. End Users browsing vansera.in do not receive this cookie. |
Seven (7) days from issuance, or until logout. | Set on path /; HttpOnly; SameSite=Lax; Secure when the request is served over HTTPS. |
3.2 Functional cookies
We do not currently use functional cookies (cookies that remember choices you make to customise the experience).
3.3 Performance and analytics cookies
We do not use any analytics cookie on vansera.in. We do not embed Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or any equivalent third-party telemetry script.
3.4 Advertising and targeting cookies
We do not run any advertising or targeting cookie on vansera.in.
3.5 Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party content (such as YouTube videos, Twitter widgets, Facebook share buttons or LinkedIn share buttons) on the marketing pages. Consequently, no third-party cookie is set as a side effect of loading vansera.in pages.
4. Local storage and similar technologies
The browser-based AI voice demonstration uses temporary in-memory state to manage the recording, playback and session identifier; it does not persist any identifier in localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or the browser's HTTP cache beyond the duration of the page session. Closing the tab discards all state.
5. Server-side telemetry
Standard HTTP server logs (source IP address, user agent, request path, status code, response time) are recorded on our server independently of any cookie and are retained for thirty (30) days for security, abuse-prevention and operational diagnostics, as described in the Privacy Policy at Section 4(h).
6. How to control cookies
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- see what cookies are stored and delete them individually or all at once;
- block third-party cookies (already irrelevant on vansera.in but you may have set this preference elsewhere);
- block cookies from specific sites;
- block all cookies;
- delete all cookies when you close the browser.
Disabling the vansera_admin cookie will prevent you from staying logged in to the administrator portal; on each request, the server will redirect to the login page. This does not affect the marketing pages or the browser voice demonstration, which work without any cookie.
7. Do Not Track
Because we do not run any cross-site tracking, the "Do Not Track" header has no operational effect on vansera.in — we already collect no data that "Do Not Track" would prevent. If we ever introduce non-essential tracking, this Policy and the Privacy Policy will be updated and consent will be obtained on a granular, opt-in basis.
8. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may revise this Policy from time to time, including to reflect new cookies introduced by features we add. Material changes — including adding a new category of cookie, a new vendor or a new tracking purpose — will be posted on this page with a revised effective date and, where practicable, with thirty (30) days' advance notice.
